Try an E-Bike #3 RSR Bridge Ride
Join us on our final e-bike focused rides by biking across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to Pickleweed Park. This ride is designed to help familiarize people with commuting across the bridge. Our certified instructors will lead the group over the bridge to San Rafael and back, and for those who are curious about ebikes, our friends at RAD Power Bikes will supply you with a loaner e-bike and helmet.
This event is made possible with funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
- Meet up at Richmond BART: 5:00pm-5:30pm
- Main ride (Richmond to San Rafael): 5:30pm-7:00pm
- Break in San Rafael: 7:00pm-7:15pm
- Return ride (San Rafael to Richmond): 7:15pm-8:45pm
This medium-paced, moderate difficulty ride will take us west from the Richmond BART station along the Richmond Greenway path, then on protected bike lanes to beautiful Point Richmond. From there we will continue up and over the scenic Richmond-San Rafael bike/walk path, then follow mostly bike lanes and paths to Pickleweed Park. We’ll stop and rest at this point, before returning to Richmond BART along the same path we took to get to the park.
All adults are welcome to participate, and any youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All riders under 18 must wear a helmet.
A working bicycle is required for participation. A small number of electric-assist bicycles are available for adult participants to borrow. If you are interested in borrowing an e-bike please follow the link at the end of the registration process, and in your confirmation email, to fill out the request form and we will follow up with you to confirm.
