The Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Committee advises the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City’s Traffic Engineering Division on bicycle, pedestrian and trail related items. The committee reviews and prioritizes potential projects, provides input on policies related to bikeways and trails, and promotes community education and awareness regarding non-motorized forms of transportation.
Assist the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City’s Traffic Engineering Division by providing input and direction on bicycle and pedestrian issues;
To offer recommendations for new bicycle and trails-related projects;
To advise the Commission in developing and implementing trail policies;
To advise the Commission on activities by other entities that may impact Pleasanton’s trails; and
To assist the Commission in maintaining community awareness about the importance of bicycle and pedestrian paths, trails and routes.
The Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Committee meets the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 PM in the classroom, Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Boulevard.
