Opportunity to Voice Concerns About California Blvd in Walnut Creek

Tuesday, January 13, 2015 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Where: Walnut Creek City Council Chambers, City Hall

Walnut Creek City Council holds a study session at this Special Meeting to review the Draft West Downtown Specific Plan.  The meeting starts at 4pm, and there will be other items on the agenda, so check back for updates about the expect time for public comment. You can also check the agenda online at: http://www.walnut-creek.org/services/citizen/granicus.asp).

Bike Walnut Creek has many concerns about the lack of continous bike lanes on streets such as Mt. Diablo Blvd, and the omission of protected bike lanes on California Blvd in the draft Plan. BWC and is submitting a comment letter and encourages everyone living in Downtown Walnut Creek, or who bicycles in downtown, to do the same.

This is only the first of what will be a long series of public study sessions and hearings with the City Council, and the Planning, Design Review, Transportation, and PROS (Parks, Recreation, and Open Space) Commissions.  Public comment will be welcomed at every meeting, and I will continue to send out meeting notices via e-mail.
