Oakland High School Considers Bike Ped Safety Improvements for Park Blvd

Tuesday, January 17, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm Oakland High School, 1023 MacArthur Blvd

Bike East Bay supports calming traffic and adding bike lanes to Park Boulevard, which would improve safety for students who attend five local schools along this corridor. In recent communities, parents report many near misses and harassment from drivers racing down Park Blvd in the morning and back up the street in the afternoon.

Join the Oakland Department of Transportation (OakDOT) and local students, parents and teachers for a focused workshop discussion on January 17, 7:00-8:30pm at Oakland High School.  We will be talking about bicycle and pedestrian safety issues on lower Park Blvd below 580. This is your chance to tell Oakland’s transportation planners you want a bike lane on Park Blvd.
