Oakland Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission Meeting

Thursday, July 21, 2016 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm Oakland City Hall, Hearing Room 3

Oakland’s Bicyclist & Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) was established to advise the City Council on programs and projects related to walking and bicycling.

On the agenda:

  • Planning Projects Quarterly Review (15 minutes)—Darin Ranelletti, Deputy Director, Bureau of Planning, will share the current list of major projects.
  • HSIP Projects Review (30 minutes)—Transportation Services staff will present candidate locations that are being screened and evaluated for potential grantfunded projects under the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP). This will be an informational presentation only, and no action is requested of the commission, since the evaluation is ongoing and final selection of locations and potential projects will not be completed by the time of the meeting. Staff will welcome comments and questions.

  • Open Forum Process (15 minutes)—Open Forum Committee member Midori Tabata will share the proposed process for tracking and responding to items brought to the BPAC.
