Oakland Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission Meeting

Oakland’s Bicyclist & Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) was established to advise the City Council on programs and projects related to walking and bicycling.

On the agenda:

  • East Bay Greenway Concept Plan —Sarah Fine, Senior Transportation Planner, will provide an update on ACTC’s East Bay Greenway project, present draft illustrative designs for BPAC feedback, and request feedback on priority segments for implementation should funding for capital and maintenance needs become available.   • Bike to Work Day/Month Planning — Chris Hwang, Board President of Walk Oakland Bike Oakland, will share information regarding planned activities for and ways to get involved in Bike To Work Day, Thursday, May 11, 2017.
  • Measure B, BB, VRF overview: budgets & expenditures —Bruce Williams, Senior Transportation Planner, will present an overview of the funding sources for the Transportation Department, with specific emphasis on Measure B, BB, and VRF budgets, expenditures and requirements, as well as an explanation of bicycle and pedestrian specific funding sources.
  • City Budget Process Milestones & Key Dates —Staff will share publicly available information on the City’s budget process milestones and key dates.
