Liv/Eden Bicycles Ladies Basic MTB Clinic/Beginner Ride

Saturday, May 14, 2016 - 9:00am to 12:00pm Chabot Regional Park

Liv and Eden Bicycles are offering a beginning mountain biking workshop for women. Meet at the Chabot Park trailhead in Oakland to practice becoming comfortable and confident on our mountain bikes! This is a beginner clinic with a no-drop ride at the end. Non-beginners are welcome to come as long as you understand there will be other ladies who are starting to learn

We will be learning how to shift, apply brakes on dirt, trail/group ride etiquette, how to stay balanced while going over technical terrain, and how to use your suspension. We will also be talking about what you should be carrying with you on a trail ride.

Directions to the trail head: off 580w turn R on golf links and continue straight up the hill. Golf links will slightly turn left into grass valley rd. You will see a dirt parking lot to the right before the road turns into skyline.

Equipment needed: a mountain bike in good working order, helmet, spare tube and either a co2 or pump to carry on the trail, water to drink, and fuel for your body.

Free swag, drinks, and snacks will be provided after the clinic!
