ABOUT:

This project would provide a new separated and protected route for people biking or walking traveling through the SR-24 interchange along Pleasant Hill Road between Mount Diablo Boulevard and Stanley Boulevard / Deer Hill Road. In addition to existing paths on Pleasant Hill Road and the Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail, this project would connect to Acalanes High School, Lafayette Elementary School, Stanley Middle School, and Saint Mary’s College via a continuous multi-use pathway.

The pathway would be 14 feet wide and separated from vehicle traffic by vertical concrete barriers on either side. Routing the path in the center of Pleasant Hill Road avoids conflicts with car traffic at the SR-24 on and off ramps
