CycloFemme: Oakland-Berkeley Ride

Sunday, May 8, 2016 - 2:00pm Mosswood Park, Oakland

CycloFemme is a celebration of womanhood on bikes!

To mark the occasion, Bike East Bay’s Women Bike program and the California Bicycle Coalition are teaming up with friends and community partners to put together a family-friendly ride from Oakland to Berkeley.

Starting from Mosswood Park in Oakland, we’ll take quiet neighborhood streets to Aquatic Park in Berkeley, where we’ll take a break and enjoy the park. We’ll finish up by riding to Ohlone Park, right across the street from North Berkeley BART station, for a total of about 6.5 miles. It will be an easy, slow paced ride with no hills, using bike lanes and bike boulevards. We won’t leave anyone behind, and we will guide you through busy crossings.

Women, trans and femme identified individuals are welcome, as are kids who can ride six and half miles on their own or be towed by an adult. Children must wear helmets.

Meet in Mosswood Park along MacArthur Blvd, at Shafter, by the playground. Bring water, sunscreen and snacks!

Please get your bike checked out to make sure it’s in good working order ahead of time. Local bike shops: https://bikeeastbay.org/discount

We will have temporary tattoos of the CycloFemme logo! They’ll be available for $1 each (to cover the cost of printing).

RSVP on Facebook. Email rachel@bikeeastbay.org with questions or if you want to help out on the ride.
