This is the second training ride in a multi-ride series leading up to the 2015 California Climate Ride (May 19-23). Everyone is welcome to join us for this ride, whether you are planning on participating in the Climate Ride or not.
All participants will need to bring their own working bike and helmet, as well as any water and snacks you may need on the ride, sunscreen, money for BART and lunch (or bring your lunch with you), and good spirits!
We will start at MacArthur BART, take an easy and mellow ride through Emeryville, Berkeley’s Aquatic Park and over the Bike Bridge to the Bay Trail. We will finish up with a lunch stop at the Rosie the Riveter Museum in Richmond. This flat and easy 20 mile round trip can be made shorter but returning via BART from Richmond or Berkeley.
This ride is a good way to meet other people going on the Climate Ride, ask questions about what to expect on the ride, as well as test out your bike and equipment in a flat, urban setting before heading out on one of our future rides where we will encounter more elevation and fewer amenities.
