On November 11, the City of Pittsburg is about to get a brand new playground, and we need your help to get it built. Join Bike East Bay as we team up with our community partners to build a playground at City Park. The project, made possible by KaBOOM, can only happen with over 200 volunteers. Let’s ride our bikes there and help get it done.
Bike East Bay will lead a ride from Pittsburg/Bay Point BART at 7:40 am to be at the work site by 8:00am. Check the weekend BART schedule.
When: Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Where: City Park, Railroad Ave & E 17th Street, Pittsburg, CA 94565
What’s Provided: Breakfast, lunch and plenty of water will be provided. Gloves and other safety materials will be provided for the projects that need them. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt to wear during the project.
What to Wear: The playground build will happen rain or shine. Please come dressed for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or a bit of paint/stain on. Also closed-toe shoes are required; sneakers or work boots that you don’t mind getting dirty are advisable.
**Please note - All youth under the legal working age for this state will be welcome to participate in youth activities but will not be able to participate in building in the construction areas.**
