Bay Day Bike Ride: San Leandro to the Bay Trail

Saturday, October 1, 2016 - 10:30am Meet at San Leandro BART Station

This ride from San Leandro BART to the Hayward Shoreline and back via the Bay Trail (flat 11 miles round trip) is in celebration of Bay Day, a new, annual celebration of the bay as a unique natural resource which requires appreciation and protection.

We will ride along the Bay Trail until San Lorenzo Creek, then turn back and head to Marina Park for a snack or lunch break. As we make our way back to BART, there will be the option to finish the ride at 21st Amendment Brewery on Williams Street, who will be offering $3 pints in honor of Bay Day! Register to let us know you’re coming! This is a free event.

We’ll be raffling one Bay Day t-shirt on the ride. If you love the beautiful design and want it to be a sure thing, you can order yours here.

Meet at 10:15am for a prompt 10:30am departure, starts and ends at San Leandro BART around 12:30pm or whenever we get back.

San Leandro BART (near the bus stops on San Leandro Boulevard) for 10:30am ride out;
OR join us as we pass Marina Park around 11:00am.

Make sure your bike is in good working order, and bring water, lunch or snacks if you’d like. Children under 18 will be required to wear a helmet, and no unaccompanied minors will be allowed to participate. Everyone riding with us will be required to sign a liability waiver at the start.
