8th Annual Ride for a Reason: Oakland Schools Fundraiser

Saturday, May 14, 2016 - 5:30am Oakland Tech High School, Oakland

Join the 8th Annual bike ride from Oakland to the Capital to support public education, and raise essential funds for Oakland schools. Last year, over 250 students, teachers, parents and community members pedaled from Oakland to the steps of the State Capitol to advocate for greater funding for education and reform in the way that California funds its public schools.

Two rides are available: a 45-mile ride that is open to novice riders, families, and kids, and a 109-mile ride for the more ambitious fundraisers. Both rides are supported with SAG-wagons carrying lunch, water, and gear.
