Author: bcomadmin

Date: June 2, 2011

BikeAlameda and the City of Alameda are very happy to announce a new transportation choice between west Alameda and Oakland. Now bicyclists and pedestrians can travel quickly and safely between Atlantic and Webster and Lake MerrittBART/Laney College. This is a pilot program. The intent of this shuttle is to encourage people to leave their cars at home and walk or bike to the shuttle to get across the estuary. We know there as been demand for a better way to get across. This is the next step in bridging the estuary gap. It is a point to point shuttle from west Alameda to Oakland. We hope the shuttle will run conveniently for college students, Alameda and Oakland employees, seniors and others just trying to get across the estuary.
