East Bay Bike to Work Day in the News

This year’s Bike to Work Day was a big success here in the East Bay with over 10,000 people stopping by one of the 80 Energizer Stations across Alameda County, organized by the East Bay Bicycle Coalition.

In addition to an almost 12% increase in numbers of people biking county wide, we also saw a big increase in news coverage of biking here in the East Bay for Bike to Work Day. We are on a roll! Here are some of the stories we saw covering Bike to Work Day and the East Bay Bicycle Coalition in the paper, on the radio, and on our local news blogs:

Friday, May 13:

  • Streetsblog shares scenes from the East Bay Bicycle Coalition’s Bike Away from Work Party where a fun time was had by all.
