Bike East Bay staff and board will be leading a series of progressively challenging rides from February to June. We’ll check out longer and hillier routes around the East Bay in a social and supportive setting. This series prepares Bike East Bay’s team for the California Climate Ride, and the rides are open to all. Whether you’re challenging yourself to ride more or making sure you’re fit for your upcoming organized rides or events, we hope you’ll join us this spring.
***RIDE UPDATE: New route and starting location posted here, as our previous route along Redwood Road is now closed to all traffic for roadway repairs.***
We are doing an alternate 36 mile route on Saturday with 1,000 feet of climbing starting at Dublin/Pleasanton BART, ride out at 9:30am sharp. We'll ride south along the Iron Horse Trail and then east into Livermore, then turn north on Livermore Ave continuing into Tassajara, and then back towards the Iron Horse Trail to return to our starting location (route map here).
Bring your own working bike and helmet, any water and snacks you may need on the ride, sunscreen, money for BART and lunch (or bring your lunch with you), and good spirits!
We roll out promptly at 9:30am, so be there by 9:15 to sign in and meet everyone.
Rain cancels or postpones. Register to let us know you're coming and be sure you get any last-minute updates.
