Bike East Bay staff and board will be leading a series of progressively challenging rides from February to June. We’ll check out longer and hillier routes around the East Bay in a social and supportive setting. This series prepares Bike East Bay’s team for the California Climate Ride, and the rides are open to all. Whether you’re challenging yourself to ride more or making sure you’re fit for your upcoming organized rides or events, we hope you’ll join us this spring.
This ride will be a flat 32 mile ride from Fruitvale BART out into Alameda, then continuing down the Bay Trail through San Leandro. We'll head inland through Hayward (with an option to end your ride at mile 16 at Hayward BART) then continue through Union City, hopping on the Alameda Creek trail to end at Fremont BART station.
Bring your own working bike and helmet, any water and snacks you may need on the ride, sunscreen, money for BART and lunch (or bring your lunch with you), and good spirits!
We roll out promptly at 9:45am, so be there by 9:30 to sign in and meet everyone.
Rain cancels or postpones. Register to let us know you're coming and be sure you get any last-minute updates.
