Urban Cycling 101 Classroom Workshop - UC Berkeley

Registration is closed for this event
The East Bay Bicycle Coalition, with support from the UC Berkeley Police Department, is offering free, two-hour bicycle skills workshops this year on the first Monday of each month. These classes are all open to the general public, but are also being offered to ticketed cyclists to qualify for a fine reduction.

This fun and interactive class is taught by an East Bay Bicycle Coalition instructor certified by the League of American Bicyclists. Learn basic rules of the road, how to equip your bicycle, lock your bike, fit your helmet, take your bike on transit, and avoid crashes by riding predictably, visibly, and communicating with motorists by your actions and signals. Every workshop has the same content so you only need to attend once. For adults and teens, no bike required.

Attending this or any of our other classroom workshops qualifies you to also sign up for one of our free “Day 2” on-the-bike road classes and earn a free set of bike lights! Click here to see our current schedule of Day 2 classes.
