Potholes, malfunctioning traffic signals, broken glass in the road. These issues and more are bad news for everyone, but especially for folks on bikes. At this 1-hour workshop we will share resources, tips, and tricks you can use to send in effective hazard reports and get issues in your neighborhood fixed.

Topics include the following:

  • Defining hazards: Routine maintenance vs infrastructure requests
  • Finding and using local resources: Apps, websites, phone numbers
  • Info to include: Tips for making effective reports
  • Reporting potholes and other pavement issues
  • SeeClickFix tutorial
  • Participant Q&A

At each bike ed webinar throughout August we will be raffling off fun prizes to attendees, including bike sticker packs, Bike East Bay socks, bike lights, and BikeLink locker cards. Winners will be selected after each class, and will be contacted to choose their prize to be delivered by mail.

This workshop is taught by an instructor certified by the League of American Bicyclists, made possible with funding provided by the Alameda County Transportation Commission.
