RIDE OAKLAND with the Scraper Bike Team and Bike Share for All

Registration is closed for this event

You're invited to join Oakland's Scraper Bike Team and the Bike Share for All coalition for a fun filled ride promoting health, peace and healing.

Meet Friday October 6th at 5:30pm at the Lake Merritt pillars at Grand Ave and El Embarcadero

Ride Oakland is an opportunity for marginalized communities of color to come together for a ride around Lake Merritt and the downtown Oakland area as a sign of unity and strength. Our organizing Bike Ambassadors will share information with attendees about the new Bay Area bike share system and other needed cycling resources.

Our goal is to help get more people on bikes and to inform riders of the many resources our cycling organizations offer struggling communities in need of alternative forms of transportation. You'll have an opportunity to sign up for a low cost $5 annual membership to the new bike share program. We will make stops along the ride route at bike share stations to instruct riders about usage.

The ride culminates at the Sole Space Art Gallery in  for an entertaining evening of Arts and Culture presented by Madow Futur and AeroSoul. This is a free all ages event aimed at communities of color. Bring your own bike or sign up with us to use a bike share bike before the ride starts.

RIDE OAKLAND will be led by East Oakland's Scraper Bike Team and is organized by the Bike Share for All coalition members.
