CycloFemme celebrates women, creates community, and builds momentum together through rides on Mother’s Day organized by and for women.
To mark the occasion, Bike East Bay’s Women Bike program is teaming up with friends and community members to put together a mixed ride from Mosswood Park in Oakland to the Rosie the Riveter Museum in Richmond.
Meet at Mosswood Park at 10 am, on the MacArthur Blvd side. We'll roll around 10:15. The first half of the ride will be family-friendly/all ages, and the second half will roll at a faster pace.
We'll first ride to Emeryville and over to Doyle Hollis Park. After a brief stop, we will continue on to the Albany Bulb, where friends and partners can meet up with riders. After that we'll pick up the pace and ride on to the Rosie the Riveter Museum in Richmond.
Bring snacks or food to share. We can picnic off the Bay Trail and folks can check out the off-trail Rosie exhibit and the actual museum - both are free.
The ride officially ends in Richmond, but many riders will be headed back the way we came, so you'll likely have some riding buddies back down the Bay Trail.
CycloFemme temporary tattoos will be available for purchase for $1 at the ride start.
Mosswood to Albany Bulb is just over 6.5 miles. The full ride is about 14 miles. Richmond BART is about 2.5 miles from the ride end, and El Cerrito Plaza BART is about 2.5 miles from Albany Bulb.
