This medium-paced, moderate difficulty ride will take us west from the Richmond BART station along the Richmond Greenway path, then on protected bike lanes to beautiful Point Richmond. From there we will continue up and over the scenic Richmond-San Rafael bike/walk path, then follow the Bay Trail north.
We will make a water and bathroom stop in San Rafael at Pickleweed Park at mile 11, before continuing back along the same route to return to Richmond BART.
Want to try out an electric-assist bike, and explore the beautiful bike path along the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge? For a limited number of people, our friends at RAD Power Bikes will supply you with a loaner ebike and helmet, and our certified instructors will lead the group over the bridge to San Rafael and back.
Follow the link at the end of the registration proces (or in your confirmation email), to fill out the ebike reservation form so we can make sure to have one there that fits you.
This event is made possible with funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
All adults are welcome to participate, and must wear a helmet. Any participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please contact phil@bikeeastbay.org to confirm before registering any participants under the age of 15, to ensure we will be able to provide a bike that fits them
