The East Bay Bicycle Coalition is throwing a 40th anniversary fundraiser and member party — Biketopia — to celebrate our accomplishments in the past year, as well as 40 years of working towards making the East Bay a great place to bike. When: Friday, November 16th, 5:30pm to 9:30pm Where: Jack London Pavilion, 98 Broadway, Oakland Buy your tickets at the door. Biketopia — named after our vision for a vibrant, bike-friendly East Bay — will take place at Jack London Square on Friday, November 16th. We are transforming the Pavilion at Jack London Square into a Biketopian city of the future. Socialize with friends old and new, enjoy a tasty New Belgium brew or glass of wine, delicious food from Miss Pearl’s, browse our impressive live and silent auction, enjoy good music and more. Biketopia attendees will receive a FREE mobile Chinook Book compliments of Mike’s Bikes and new EBBC members will receive both the print and mobile editions of the 2013 Chinook Book. Each book contains a special Mike’s Bikes coupon for 50% off a tune-up in addition to their 20% off coupon. Big thanks to Mike’s Bikes for co-sponsoring this initiative. Biketopia Live and Silent Auction Our auction will feature “getaways” to local hotels and restaurants, cycling gear from local bike shops, dinner with pro-racer and EBBC board member Freddie Rodriguez, and many more items from bicycle friendly businesses. To complete the streetscape, five bicycles — ranging from stylish commuters to nifty folders and utilitarian cargo bikes — will be auctioned from an on-street bicycle corral. Come prepared for great deals on bikes, accessories, local restaurants and other great treats in our live and silent auction. - Advance Ticket for Current Members – $20 at the door – Already an EBBC member? Join us for Biketopia with this option and get one drink ticket.
- Advance Ticket Including Bottomless Drinks – $35 at the door – This option is for current EBBC members, and includes a bottomless glass of beer or wine. Your drinks will be served in a Biketopia souvenir glass, which is yours to keep when the party is over.
- Join EBBC or Renew Your Membership and Get Free Admission – $40 at the door – Not current EBBC member? Support local bicycle advocacy by selecting this option. Your ticket to the event will include a one-year membership with the East Bay Bicycle Coalition and one drink ticket.
- Join EBBC or Renew Your Membership and Get Free Admission plus Bottomless Drinks – $55 at the door – Not a current EBBC member? Support local bicycle advocacy by selecting this option. Your ticket to the event will include a one-year membership with the East Bay Bicycle Coalition and a bottomless glass of beer or wine. Your drinks will be served in a Biketopia souvenir glass, which is yours to keep when the party is over.
