And what’s happening with the bike lanes on Broadway Auto Row?
As part of a Federal Stimulus paving project, the City will be applying a micro-surfacing treatment to Broadway between Grand Ave and I-580. This treatment applies a surface layer to the existing pavement to extend its life. Before applying the treatment, all roadway striping must be removed. Temporary striping is then put in place until the surface treatment is applied. On Broadway, all striping was removed and temporary striping installed. The micro-surfacing work is scheduled for early June. Permanent roadway striping will then be installed, including improvements to the existing bike lanes.
