Our route will be about 4 miles long, with a steady but slight incline during the first half of the ride. We stop for a snack break about halfway along the route, which is a good opportunity to play, chat, and eat! We usually have music to pedal to as well.

Helmets required for kids.

Be sure to pack snacks, water, and clothing appropriate to weather
conditions.

Meet at the Playground, south end of Bolivar Drive.

This month's Geared 4 Kids route will be a flat 4.25 miles long, taking us through some Berkeley, Oakland, and Emeryville neighborhoods as well as Aquatic Park. We'll be stopping by the Spokeland bike coop for our snack break, so remember to bring along snacks to share. And, of course, we'll have tunes all throughout the ride!

This month's Geared 4 Kids route will be flat and 4.5 miles long.
The route will take us through some Oakland neighborhoods with a
snack break at Mosswood Park. And, of course, we'll have
music to pedal to!

Helmets required for kids.

Be sure to pack snacks, water, and clothing appropriate to weather
conditions. It's all about layers this time of year.

NOTE: The rainy season is upon us, so look to our website for
cancellation notices. We will ride in modestly inclement weather, but
not downpours.

Unincorporated Alameda County Bike Advocacy Ride

EBBC is set to tour Castro Valley (Ashland, San Lorenzo, Cherryland) on January 28 and survey the priority projects for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan being updated for the Unincorporated areas of Alameda County. Unicorporated Alameda County has worked hard to update its Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan, with the deadline for public input extended to January 25. Join us for an upcoming advocacy ride.

The East Bay Bicycle Coalition is asking for up to 20% of Measure B funds to be committed to bike/ped projects as part of the Measure B Reauthorization.
