East Bay Greenway - Oakland to Hayward

All East Bay residents (Oakland, San Leandro, unincorporated Alameda County, and Hayward) and East Bay Greenway stakeholders are invited!

Where: San Leandro Public Library (Trustees Room) - 300 Estudillo Ave. in San Leandro (5-10 minute walk from San Leandro BART; Free parking is also available)

As part of our efforts to design and develop the Greenway, Urban Ecology will be conducting a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) of the Greenway to evaluate its larger impact on the health and safety of nearby residents, and, of course, the users of the path. HIAs are an emerging tool designed to analyze the positive or negative health impacts (physical activity, noise, pollution, safety, crime, etc.) of development projects. The outcome is a more comprehensive and relevant project.

HIAs rely heavily on the input of community members, and that is why Urban Ecology is inviting you to attend a meeting to talk about the Greenway and its specific impacts on the health of East Bay communities.

Please RSVP to phil@urbanecology.org or (415) 617-0168.
